Membership Policy

  • Scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, farmers, farmer organizations, policymakers, civil society members, donors, extension agents, any government and staff or any individual working in the agricultural profession in Governments, NGOs or private organizations would be the member of the network.
  • Agricultural networks/forums/organizations working in South Asia can also be a member.
  • Applicants must agree to the terms and conditions of the CoP and adhere to them appropriately. In the event of providing inaccurate membership information, appropriate measures will be taken, which may include membership cancellation.
  • In the event of missing or incomplete information, an automatic response will be generated, indicating that the application has not been approved due to incomplete profile details. To secure membership approval, the missing information must be provided. Until membership confirmation is achieved, the applicant will not have access to opportunities such as networking, communication, or browsing the CoP archive.
  • Membership applications will be reviewed and approved by the project’s dedicated facilitator.
  • The decision for membership approval will rest with the C-SUCSeS project management.
  • Membership would be terminated for violating the network’s terms and conditions.
  • Members should provide correct email and or WhatsApp numbers to receive regular messages and announcements.
  • Members are encouraged to be mindful of religious or cultural sensitivities during interaction, engagement, and in their posts or comments.
  • Permission must be obtained from the authors to use any documents (text, image, and video) which are uploaded on the network site, and must acknowledge the original author and source of the content.
  • Establish a long-term professional and trusting relationship among members.
  • Maintain and respect a diverse and inclusive membership approach.
  • Encourage women, youth, persons with disabilities and people from diverse backgrounds to participate from all member states
  • Maintain the group members’ active engagement by fostering interaction, communication, acknowledging commendable efforts, and offering capacity-building programs.
  • When participating, members must agree not to:
    • Defame, abuse, harass, threaten or violate the rights of other members;
    • Create a false identity;
    • Violate applicable laws, including without limitation, data protection laws and intellectual property laws;
    • Publish content fully or partially on this site or use any photo without the consent of the authors/owners. The copyright will be reserved by the authors.
  • Once registered, you are required to consent to the use of your photograph for public display on the CoP platform, as well as for the CoP’s institutional purposes.
  • Members are expected to actively participate and demonstrate a commitment to collaborating with their fellow members.
  • Members can write to the Secretariat for any queries, suggestions, and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Members can utilize the network to connect with each other, enabling the exchange of knowledge about climate-smart agriculture and its implementation within their countries.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where all members feel welcome and valued. Ensure that diverse perspectives are considered and all members have an opportunity to contribute.
  • Any member can leave the group at any time.
  • Members can send a message to copcsucses@gmail.com mentioning the topic in the subject of the email.
  • Language of all the contents and emails must be in English or to be translated in English language.

 

Knowledge Dissemination and Archiving Policies

  • Information Resource Centre: An Information Resource Centre (IRC) will be established by the Secretariat to safeguard presentations, articles, audio, videos, publications, guidelines, toolkits, and other knowledge documents. Knowledge Management personnel will serve as a central contact to ensure the information’s accessibility to all stakeholders.
  • Database: Develop and manage a repository of resource persons, ambassadors, and champions capable of presenting on interesting topics or demonstrating achievmentsto facilitate member learning through online and offline connections.These individuals could be either from within or outside the region or the network, contributing to the formation of a pool of regional CSA experts focused on knowledge exchange and collaboration.
  • Event Management:Training, awareness programs, workshops, meetings, and webinars would be organised on various topics on CSA, Climate Change, Gender, Advocacy, Communication, Networking, and related fields. This will help members to build knowledge and capacity as well as encourage members to participate and contribute actively. Ocassionally introduce farmers’ fields, knowledge hubs or model villages, etc.
  • Media communication and dissemination: Share links of posts or interesting articles or announcement of any upcoming events on social media and also raise awareness through mainstream media. Tagging, Retweets and Share options will be used for wider dissemination and reach. Emails, newsletters, social media, and various online avenues and platforms would be set up to facilitate the sharing of information, knowledge, and dissemination. Respective country-based popular online platforms and apps would be linked with the CoP gradually.

 

Membership in the network is open to scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, farmers, farmer organizations, policymakers, civil society members, donors, extension agents, government staff, and individuals engaged in the agricultural profession in South Asia, whether they work in government, NGOs, or private organizations.

  • Encourage policymakers, donors, and think tanks to join the forum. Share evidence, data, and research findings to support the advocacy of the CoP network.
  • Liaise and communicate with other forums, networks, and resource persons who can join and share their expertise with the members.
  • The Knowledge Management Personnel will lead advocacy, communications and lobbying through the platform to achieve the goal and objectives of the project.
