Aims and Objectives

Aims

Develop a collaborative online network of stakeholders across the SAARC countries and operate a well-functioning Community of Practice (CoP) to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience among South Asian agricultural practitioners on climate-smart agriculture with the aim of enhancing agriculture resilience to climate change for sustainable agricultural production in the region.

Objectives

  • Provide an opportunity for the network members to build an in-depth knowledge and insight on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Technologies, adaptive mechanisms, successful models, and innovations to tackle climate change impact for sustainable agricultural production.
  • Create a viable online platform so that agricultural practitioners across South Asian countries can establish communication with each other as well as with the experts.
  • Create opportunities to enhance mutual cooperation and collaboration among the regional agricultural practitioners and to provide feedback.
  • Provide an opportunity for the members of the network to explore innovative ideas, solve emerging problems and adapt to the climate impact through online discussion.
  • Support the adoption of climate-smart technologies and practices through the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
  • Disseminate knowledge of CSA technologies and practices for sustainable increase of productivity and build resilience to the impacts of climate change in the region.
